Music is much more than just a mathematical fluent language, it is a harmony to emotions. Music is often more times than not, is used as a therapeutic tool. Music can open doorways unimaginable!
I am JP Hansen and I am the student of a blind man. I am in my 40’s, but have had the love of music in my life since I began to be able to hear my father playing Frank Sinatra on his eight tracks, vinyls and even tape cassette. Some of us actually remember those days. Although today’s youth love’s to listen to a lot of mainstream music that sometimes is often repetitious in nature.
I love to write and have been attempting to write lyric since that nice age of 13 and oh, yes how I wish I could go back. I thought there was a rewind button here somewhere. Hmm, maybe in a few sentences it’ll be there. Yep, as I said, I love to write music, there ya go, there’s that button! When I am writing a song, or working on a composition I try to stay focused on the content in the lyric mainly. I understand that people love to hear those melodies twist about! So do I and that is why I usually save the best for last by touching up my lyric with the way I play. I love for the lyric to drive the emotion of the music.
Music, the threshold to heart, opens doorways and minds!
It is also the doorway to a lot of imagination. So when I write I usually have someone or something in mind for the lyric.
